How ProPilot Works
Nissan ProPilot Assist combines two safety systems: Nissan Steering Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control. When paired, these systems provide much-needed assistance – from lane departure monitoring to speed maintenance.
Optimized Lane Assist
Optimized Lane Assist allows drivers to set their desired following distance and speed by simply pressing a button on the steering wheel. Using radar and cameras, this driver assist feature uses lane markers to send a lane departure alert if you begin to drift. Plus, steering prompts help you stay in the center of the lane.
If the system senses that a driver’s hands are no longer on the wheel, it will issue an alert. If you don't return your hands to the wheel, the system brakes on its own. If both alerts are ignored, the system will slow the vehicle to a stop and turn on the hazard lights.
